Maersk to Hike Rates in Latin America Trades

Maersk Line will impose a general rate increase on trades from Latin America to the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East, starting July 15.   The planned increase will be $150 per 20-foot and $300 per 40-foot/high cube container.   The Danish carrier will also hike its rates by $560 per 20-foot and $800 per 40-foot dry container on cargo from Far East Asia to the west coast of South America, Central America and the Caribbean, also effective July 15.   The Journal of Commerce Online
