THE world's third largest container shipping group, CMA CGM has announced several rate increases across its global trade lanes as part of a new revenue restoration programme. Starting September 1, the company will levy a US$300 per TEU increase from Asia to New Zealand for dry and reefer containers on the ANZEX and ANZEX 2 services.
The company has announced a US$200 per TEU increase on the EPIC westbound service from the Persian Gulf to North Europe, the east and west Mediterranean, the Adriatic and the Red Sea.
The company said a further EUR300 (US$371) per TEU increase will be introduced September 15 from North Europe to Latin America and the Caribbean.
