ICELANDIC shipping company Eimskip is to drop its Norfolk, Virginia call by Portland, Maine on its Iceland-America-Norway service to shorten transit times between North America and Europe.
It will offer biweekly port calls every 13 days deploying two vessels in the 698-TEU Skogafoss and 712-TEU Reyjkafoss. Its port rotation is Reykjavik, Argentia, Newfoundland, Boston-Everett, Norfolk (alternate weeks) to be replaced by Portland, Maine; Halifax Argentina, St Anthony; Reykjavik; Sortland (alternate weeks) and Reykjavik.
