DUBAI's Emirates Shipping Line says it is entering into a vessel sharing agreement with Singapore's APL and Hong Kong's OOCL on their joint China-India Express (CIX) service.
Emirates is branding its new service as the China-India Express (CIS), and as a result of reorganising its Hypergalex service.
It said the weekly CIS service will provide greater port coverage to the key trading and commercial centres in the Far East, South East Asia and Indian subcontinent. The first sailing with ESL's participation is scheduled to depart from Xingang near Tianjin on March 21.
The CIS port rotation is Xingang, Dalian, Qingdao, Busan, Hong Kong, Shenzhen-Chiwan, Singapore, Colombo, Mumbai-Nhava Sheva, Pipavav, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong and back to Xingang.
The service is said to offer fast transit times and provide links at major ports to the rapidly growing regions of Bohai Bay, Busan, Shenzhen-Chiwan and Mumbai-Nhava Sheva.
