Maersk Line will increase rates on several trade routes, effective April 1.
The ocean carrier will increase rates for dry containers in its trade between North Europe and the U.S.:
- From the U.S. to North Europe, and from North Europe to the U.S. East and Gulf Coast, the hike will be $200 per 20-foot dry container and $300 per 40-foot, 40-foot high-cube and 45-foot high-cube container.
- From North Europe to the U.S. West Coast, the increase will be $400 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40-foot, 40-foot high-cube and 45-foot high-cube container.
Maersk will increase rates in its trade from Asia, excluding Japan, to New Zealand, by $250 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40-foot container.
The Denmark-based company will increase rates on its trade between North Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Indian subcontinent and Latin America:
- From North Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Indian subcontinent to South America’s west and east coasts, Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico, the hike will be $200 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container.
- From South America’s west and east coasts, Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico to North Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Indian subcontinent, the hike will be $300 per 20-foot, 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container.
- From Syria to Mexico, and from the Middle East and Indian subcontinent to Cuba, the increase will be $150 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container.
- From South America’s east and west coasts, Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico to Syria, the increase will be $225 per 20-foot, 40-foot and 40-foot high-cube container.
The carrier will hike rates on its trade from the Mediterranean to and from the U.S. and Canada:
- From the Mediterranean, excluding Syria, to the U.S. and Canada, the hike will be $250 per 20-foot container and $350 per 40-foot, 40-foot high-cube and 45-foot high-cube container.
- From the U.S. and Canada to the Mediterranean, the hike will be $150 per 20-foot container and $200 per 40-foot, 40-foot high-cube and 45-foot container.
- From the U.S and Canada to Syria, the increase will be $114 per 20-foot container and $152 per 40-foot, 40-foot high-cube and 45-foot container.
- From Syria to the U.S. and Canada, the increase will be $190 per 20-foot container and $265 per 40-foot, 40-foot high-cube and 45-foot container.
Maersk will increase rates on its Europe to Oceania trade:
- From Europe, excluding Syria, to Australia, New Zealand and Papa New Guinea, the hike will be $200 per 20-foot container, $400 per 40-foot container and $500 per 45-foot container for dry and refrigerated cargo.
- From Syria to Australia, New Zealand and Papa New Guinea, the hike will be $160 per 20-foot container, $310 per 40-foot container and $380 per 45-foot container for dry and reefer cargo.
