Hapag-Lloyd to Boost Intra-Asia Rates in Mid-May

Hapag-Lloyd will increase rates for all cargoes and container types on its trade from East Asia, including Japan, to the Persian Gulf, starting May 15. The container line said the hike will be $300 per 20-foot-equivalent unit. The carrier will also implement and revise its surcharges for all import and export cargoes to and from Thailand in April and May. The Journal of Commerce
