Starting week 32, Hapag-Lloyd will introduce a new call at Paita, Peru, on its Mexico-Peru Service.
The first call will be provided with the container line’s Conti Salome, voyage 1330N, which is scheduled to arrive at Paita on Aug. 8.
Hapag-Lloyd said the new Paita call will provide refrigerated cargo customers with more possibilities to move their containers to Asia, Mexico and the U.S. West Coast, and will offer one more alternative to connect cargo to the Mediterranean.
The MXP service operates with three vessels with capacities of 2,100 20-foot-equivalent units, equipped with 300 reefer plugs. It also provides import and export service for dry cargo and other specialized equipment.
The new port rotation will be as follows: Manzanillo, Mexico; Buenaventura, Colombia; Callao, Peru; Paita; Guayaquil, Ecuador; and back to Manzanillo.
