The German carrier Lufthansa is understood to have been planning the resumption of daily flights from Munich to Tel Aviv, starting in April 2008.
Lufthansa's service on this route was cut off following High Court of Justice decision that resulted in a freeze on daily flights to Germany. The freeze period will end in April 2008.
It is understood that at the end of the freeze the company will lodge a formal request to resume flying the route.
No official comments have yet been given by the company or its local representative. It is assumed, however, that the newly adopted policy of the Israeli government to increase the number of incoming tourists will enable Lufthansa to receive the approval.
