Thamesport picked for another service

11/27/2007 10:55:02 AM

Another deep-sea service will begin calling at Thamesport's container terminal from December.

The new fortnightly Asia-Europe AES 3 service operated by Yang Ming and “K’’ Line will operate with four 4,300 TEU vessels.

It follows last week's announcement that the New World Alliance, APL, HMM and MOL, would include the Medway port in its South China Express (SCX) service from January.

Port rotation is Thamesport, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Jeddah, Singapore, Qingdao, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shekou, Singapore, Jeddah, Port Said and Thamesport.

The service will be upgraded to weekly and a series of 8,200 TEU vessels will be introduced in June.
