Lufthansa Cargo is boosting its flight program from the start of the summer timetable on March 30. New services include a pair of direct weekly freighter flights to Beijing and non-stops from Frankfurt to Shanghai and Seoul.
New Chinese destinations Nanjing will be served five times a week from Frankfurt as of the end of March, while from June, Shenyang, will get three-times-weekly flights from Munich. Both will be operated with Airbus A340-300s with an average cargo capacity of about 17 tonnes.
The German carrier also is launching a new service to Malabo in Equatorial Guinea as part of its Swiss absorption. It gets three-times-a-week service from Frankfurt using Airbus A330-300 with about 24 tonnes cargo capacity.
As part of the capacity expansion, Frankfurt Airport and Tianjin Airport in China will be integrated into Jade Cargo International's route network as of 12 April 2008.
