American Airlines Cargo will March 20 raise its fuel surcharges to 85 cents per kilogram from 80 cents/kg for most U.S.-origin international shipments, and to 34 cents per pound from 32 cents/pound for U.S. domestic shipments.

European all-cargo airline Cargolux will also increase its fuel surcharge on all shipments to 0.90 euros per kilogram, or the local currency equivalent, effective March 24.

The Luxembourg-based airline's surcharge has been 0.85 euros per kilogram.
