Delta Air Lines is announcing the start of its new daily year-round nonstop service from Edinburgh to New York’s-John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on Friday 2 May 2008. The service will be operated using a Boeing 757-200 ETOPS aircraft, with the range and configuration to fly passengers in comfort from Scotland to Delta’s hub at New York. The new service is the only scheduled nonstop service between Scotland and New York’s JFK and will strengthen business and tourism links between the two cities.
“We are delighted to offer our customers from Scotland the opportunity to fly nonstop to New York, the world’s largest travel market and leading financial centre,” said Armin Venencie, UK Commercial Director, Delta Air Lines. ” Travellers flying from Edinburgh will benefit from up to 36 convenient connections throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean to business and leisure destinations including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando and San Francisco.”
