ANA will increase its fuel surcharge on international cargo shipments from 01 July, subject to government approval.
Long haul services (Japan – Europe, N America, Middle East) will increase from JPY100 to JPY 127; Short haul flights (Japan – Thailand, Singapore, Guam, Vietnam, Taiwan, China) will increase from JPY 87 to JPY 107 and flights within Japan and Korea will increase from JPY84 to JPY104.
The surcharge will remain at the revised level until September 30, 2008, regardless of movements in the energy market. This is, however, subject to approval by the relevant government authorities of each country in which the application is made.
The next revision, coming into force on October 1, 2008, will be based on the average market price of Singapore kerosene for the three months from May to July 2008 as reported by the US Department of Energy.
