German ocean carrier Hamburg Sud said Wednesday it is launching a new service between the Far East and South Asia with sailings from Port Kelang and Shanghai.
The new weekly, fixed-day service comprises two loops and provides direct connections between China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Indian Subcontinent.
Loop 1 has a port rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Loop 2 has a rotation of Port Kelang, Singapore, Colombo, Karachi, Mundra, Tuticorin and Port Kelang.
Hamburg Süd is providing one vessel with a slot capacity of 1,500 TEU on the second loop. The services start July 11.
