An Estonian logistics delegation visiting China in the last week of March achieved in meetings with Chinese freight forwarders agreements under which large flows of goods will start moving through this country, RIA Oreanda reported.
According to CEO of Transiidikeskuse, Erik Laidvee, "a breakthrough was made as a result of which thousands of Chinese containers will start passing through the Muuga container terminal already in the next few months."
Among the companies offering a transit chain from China straight to Moscow were Eesti Raudtee (Estonian Railway), Transiidikeskuse, the port of Sillamae, the Estonian Logistics and Freight Forwarding Association representing the Moscow Customs Terminal, and several forwarding enterprises.
