Garuda to use Airbus for Beijing-Jakarta from 2010

Indonesian airline PT Garuda Indonesia will upgrade to wide-body Airbus aircraft on its Jakarta-Beijing route from next year onward, from the smaller Boeing aircraft that it currently uses, Dow Jones reported.   "From the start of 2010 the Beijing-Jakarta route, and the return route, will use wide-bodied Airbus aircraft instead of the current Boeing 737 NG," Sentot Mujiono, general manager of Garuda Beijing said.   The number of aircraft of be upgraded has not been specified.   Cargo News Asia
