Israel and Switzerland recently signed an improved civil aviation agreement that allows more airlines to make scheduled flights between Tel Aviv and Switzerland.
The old civil aviation agreement allowed
only one designated airline from each country to operate on the route.
The agreement was signed by Fontana Jango on behalf of the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) and Avi Ben Hur on behalf of the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority.
Minister of Transport Israel Katz said, following the signing ceremony, that according to the new agreement each country can award two airlines the rights to the route.
The new agreement will enable each side to operate 24 weekly flights.
