Russian carrier AirBridgeCargo Airlines is set to further expand its core Asia-Russia-Western Europe scheduled freighter service network in 2010 with the planned addition of more points in the Far East, Central Asia and its home market.
Outlining those plans, AirBridgeCargo executive senior vice-president Wolfgang Meier explained that in the Far East, the airline currently served Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing and Tokyo, while the points covered in Central Asia were Almaty (Kazakhstan), Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) and Kabul (Afgha-nistan).
"In 2010, we are going to add one more destination in the Far East. In Central Asia, the intention is to add a fourth and maybe even a fifth point," he said, although he would not go into further detail.
Other plans for 2010, continued Meier, included expanding the carrier's Russian network coverage, which currently comprises Moscow and Krasnoyarsk, and boosting the current 11-12 scheduled flight frequencies a week operated out of its Frankfurt hub.
