Japan Airlines (JAL) will increase its revise international cargo fuel surcharge for flights departing from Japan from May 1
The international cargo fuel surcharge on long-haul international routes will increase from 73 yen per kg (US$0.78) to 80 yen ($0.86), on medium-haul international routes from 63 yen per kg ($0.68) to 69 yen ($0.74), and on short-haul routes from 53 yen per kg ($0.57) to 58 yen ($0.62).
Since April 1 last year, JAL started adjusting its cargo fuel surcharge levels on a monthly basis by using the one-month average fuel price of Singapore kerosene of the month before last.
