AirBridgeCargo Airlines is to delay further increases in the frequency of its recently-started B747-400F operation out of Zhengzhou, China, to Russia and Western Europe until next year.
The Russian scheduled freighter service operator's other expansion plans for 2011 include the long talked about launch of scheduled services to the US and the addition of new points in Russia to the airline's international network. AirBridgeCargo launched twice-weekly operations out of Zhengzhou - the carrier's fourth Chinese point alongside Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong - to Moscow, Russia and on to Frankfurt, Germany in September. At that time, the carrier said it planned to increase frequency to four flights a week by the end of this year. However, Tatyana Arslanova, AirBridgeCargo's executive president said at the recent air cargo forum in Amsterdam, that this would now not happen. Instead, the carrier would look to increase the frequency to five times a week next year.
