5/27/2011 10:01:16 AM

Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will launch a sixth nonstop frequency between Atlanta and Brazil's capital city, Brasilia, on May 31, 2011.

"Delta's continued growth in Brazil has been quite significant, and this new flight will further support our strategy in this market," said Nicolas Ferri, Delta's vice president for Latin America and Caribbean.

Delta operates flights between Atlanta and Brasilia using a Boeing 757-200 with capacity for 162 passengers. Delta currently offers 32 nonstop flights between the U.S. and Brazil, including service connecting Atlanta, Detroit and New York-JFK to Sao Paulo as well as Atlanta and Rio de Janeiro.
