Maersk to raise Asia/Australia rates, Zim seeks Asia/Israel surcharge

Maersk Line said it plans to raise rates on shipments from Northeast Asia to Australia.

The increase is $250 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40-foot container, effective Sept. 15. The rate hike is applicable to origins in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Korea

 

Liner carrier Zim said it will seek a peak season surcharge of $200 per TEU on shipments from Asia to its home market of Israel, effective Sept. 1.
