Cargolux Airlines will introduce a fifth weekly frequency into Budapest, starting on December 14, 2006.
The additional flight will operate every Friday at 22h00 from Taipei via Bangkok, with arrival in Budapest on Saturday at 08h45 local time. Departure from Budapest is at 10h15, with arrival in Luxembourg at 12h05.
The schedule of the four existing flights has been readjusted in order to meet demand from forwarders in Asia and Europe, and the flights are now operated out of Taipei on Mondays via Bangkok and out of Hong Kong on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
The connection of the five scheduled flights from Budapest to Luxembourg is now on days 2, 3, 5, 6 and 7, feeding into Cargolux’s worldwide flight network.
The additional service aims to meet the demand for increased capacity from the markets in Taipei and Bangkok, and from exporters in Budapest and the surrounding regions.
Cargolux is the only carrier offering direct services between Asia and Budapest.
The carrier operates a fleet of fourteen B747-400 freighters on a global air network covering 90 destinations, and a trucking network to 60 destinations in Europe and the US.
