Lufthansa Cargo is to stop diverting flights via Cologne, Germany because the practice is uneconomical.
It began flying via Cologne as a workaround after a night flying ban was imposed by local government at its Frankfurt hub.
It introduced the Cologne stopover for flights over Russia and China to comply with the ban, which was imposed after the winter schedule had already been agreed.
As of the new summer schedule effective March 25, Lufthansa will use new daytime slots at Frankfurt.
