Lufthansa flies B777F to Mumbai

Mumbai, India has welcomed its first Boeing 777F aircraft, one of the heaviest cargo carriers in the world, which has a maximum take-off weight of 347 tonnes.

The aircraft, operated by Lufthansa Cargo, arrived from Frankfurt.

"On board the freighter was 40 tonnes of cargo, including machinery, perishables and dangerous goods," said the airline. The return flight carried 102 tonnes of cargo comprising mainly pharmaceuticals and cars.
