First Boeing 787-9 to touch down in Auckland

A Boeing 787-9 aircraft will touch down in New Zealand for the first time on Saturday 4 January.  The aircraft, which is currently operating as a Boeing test aircraft, will eventually join Air New Zealand’s 787-9 fleet.
 
The Boeing 787-9 is fitted out with test equipment and will be available for media to walk through this Sunday 5 January between 11.00am – 12.00pm at Air New Zealand’s Auckland Technical Operations base.
 
The test aircraft is stopping in Auckland on its way to Alice Springs, Australia, for hot weather testing.
