MSC to Hike Rates for Exports From US Gulf and West Coasts

Mediterranean Shipping Co. has announced September rate increases for cargo moving from the U.S. Gulf and West coasts to several destinations.

 

Effective Sept. 10, the carrier said, rates will rise by $300 per 20-foot container and $600 per 40-foot container for shipments from the U.S. West Coast to the eastern Mediterranean, including Greece and Turkey; the Black Sea; North, West and East Africa; India; Pakistan; the Middle East and the Red Sea.

 

Effective Sept. 15, rates from the U.S. Gulf Coast to those same regions will go up $200 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot container.
