Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has established two branch offices in Vietnam, based in the capital city of Ha Noi and in the Northern city of Hai Phong. The offices will open on January 1, 2007.
The news offices will focus the resources of OOCL Vietnam (OVCL) on further developing the market and will provide OOCL’s Vietnam customers with a vital link to world trade.
According to OVCS general manager James Chou, the opening of these two offices is part of the company’s strategic plan in Vietnam, following the country’s WTO accession.
“With flourishing local economic growth, we believe cargo potential will be very encouraging over the coming years,” said Chou. “Our own branch offices will enable us to offer enhanced and comprehensive services to our valued customers through internal integrated systems, dedicated full-functional organisation and extensive service network, linking Vietnam to Asia, the Indian Sub-continent, Australia, Europe and North America.”
Headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, OOCL (Vietnam) was originally established in May 2004.
