The liner carrier Zim said it is adding an extra call in Israel to the rotation of its transatlantic ZCA service from Nov. 19.
The carrier will add an eastbound call at Ashdod to the existing rotation.
The loop, which links the U.S. East Coast and Mediterranean ports, will have a rotation of Haifa, Piraeus, Genoa, Tarragona, Halifax, New York, Savannah, Kingston, Tarragona, Ashdod, and Haifa.
The service is operated with six Zim vessels with an average capacity of 4,250 TEUs, according to ComPair Data. COSCO Container Lines, Hapag-Lloyd, and China Shipping take slots on the service.
Zim said transit time on the service eastbound will be 22 days from New York to Ashdod. Current transit time to Haifa from New York is 24 days.
