18,000-TEU Majestic Maersk makes call at Shenzhen's Yantian terminal

SHENZHEN's Yantian International Container Terminal (YICT) has docked the 18,000-TEU Majestic Maersk, which like its Triple E sister ships is among the largest vessels in the world. Earlier in July, sister ship Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller made an inaugural call at YICT. The ships are in the Asia-Europe service, and handled more than 1,750 containers while at the Shenzhen terminal. YICT has handled 506 mega-vessels in the first seven months of this year, each more than 10,000 TEU.   Asian Shipper News
