Europe/West African specialist carriers NileDutch and CMA CGM-owned Delmas will start a fortnightly service between the East Coast of South America and West Africa in the first week of March.
Direct ports of call on the new loop will include the Brazilian ports of Sao Francisco do Sul, Santos and Rio de Janeiro; Luanda, Angola; and Pointe Noire, Congo. Argentinean cargo will be relayed via Rio de Janeiro. Other West African destinations such as Boma, Matadi, Cabinda, Soyo, Lobito, Libreville, Douala, Lagos, Tema and Abidjan will be served by relay via Pointe Noire using other service loops of France-based Delmas and Nile Dutch, located in the Netherlands.
“With this new service, Delmas and NileDutch will offer the fastest transit time between Brazil and Angola,” the carriers said in a joint statement.
