Chennai-Colombo-Gulf service launched

The maiden arrival of the 1200 TEU vessel Sima Perfect at the Chennai Container Terminal marked the commencement of the direct weekly Chennai-Colombo-Gulf (CCG) service. Operated by Simatech Shipping through its agent Greenways Shipping, the service will connect Chennai with Gulf countries, reported The Hindu. The service rotation is Chennai, Colombo, Cochin, Jebel Ali, Cochin, Colombo, Chennai. On its maiden voyage, Sima Perfect carried 350 TEUs of containers for discharging at Colombo and Jebel Ali. It consisted of garments, granite, food articles, sea food and general cargo.   Cargonews Asia
