Arik adds routes, will boost belly hold capacity

2/28/2014 8:52:09 AM

Lagos, Africa-based Arik Air will extend two existing routes as of March 10. It will operate its Lagos-Dakar flight via Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin Republic and extend its daily Abuja-Accra service to Dakar.

Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft configured with 10 business and 64 economy class seats will be used at first, but later will upgrade to larger Boeing 737-700 aircraft, providing freight forwarders with an additional two tons of belly cargo space.
