Air Incheon to start cargo flights to China, Japan, Russia April 30

4/26/2014 8:21:32 AM

SOUTH KOREA's all cargo carrier Air Incheon has announced plans to provide regular flights to China, Japan and Russia as part of expansion efforts, reports Yonhap News Agency.

Founded in 2012, the airline offers irregular air cargo services from Incheon International Airport (IIA) and Russia's Sakhalin Island, using the two B737-400Fs.

The company said it will provide six weekly scheduled flights to Narita in Japan, followed by three regular flights per week to Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, the largest city on Sakhalin Island, beginning on April 30.

Air Incheon added it will arrange three irregular weekly flights to Yantai in China from May 8. The company that began commercial services last year said the new flights will contribute to its airport becoming a regional hub for cargo handling feeder routes.
