FINNAIR is to open new routes thrice-weekly from Helsinki to Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Kazan, three regional centres on the Volga River during the summer peak season.
Its services will deploy a Embraer E90 aircraft to Nizhny Novgorod International Airport will begin from July 25, while Samara's Kurumoch International Airport is served from August 7 and Kazan International Airport from August 18.
Flights from Helsinki-Nizhny Novogrod will depart Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2355 hrs and arrive 0305 hrs next day. Flights from Nizhny Novogrod to Helsinki Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays leave at 0455 hrs and arrival at 0610 hrs.
The Helsinki-Samara service will run Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays, departing at 2340 hrs, arriving at 0315 hrs the next day. Samara-Helsinki will run Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a transit time of two hours 55 minutes.
Flights from Helsinki-Kazan will run Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2355 hrs and arrive at 0325 hrs. The Kazan-Helsinki is to run Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing at 0425 hrs, arriving at 0605 hrs.
Finnair flies twice daily to St Petersburg, nine times weekly to Moscow (Sheremetyevo) and four times weekly to Yekaterinburg. Through oneworld partner S7 Airlines, Finnair also offers codeshare connections to Moscow Domodedov and onward to Kazan, Novosibirsk, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Ufa and Yekaterinburg.
