Mitsui OSK Lines has announced that the Group has formulated a new mid-term management plan - MOL ADVANCE - for the three-year period from April 2007 to March 2010.
MOL’s Action and Direction at the Vanguard of Creating Excellence aims to ensure safe operation (highest priority) while achieving sustainable growth and enhancing quality.
The MOL Group also set financial targets for FY2012 ending in March 2013, as well as profit goals for each of the three years from April 2007 to March 2010.
The Group’s revenue target is ¥2,060 billion for 2010 and ¥2,500 billion for 2012. Within the next two years, MOL plans to expand its fleet by 196 vessels, launching another 236 vessels between 2010 and 2012.
Along with this announcement, Mitsui OSK Lines has introduced its new Group logo.
MOL has also announced a further upgrade of container services to and from Vietnam, with a new service called Vietnam Hong Kong New Loop 3 (VH3).
The new VH3 service will be offered by a space charter from the Vietnam national shipping company Bien Dong Shipping, which currently offers joint services with MOL.
The current RSK service (by a space charter from the RCL Company) will be discontinued in May, along with start of the new VH3 service.
The VH3 service port rotation will be Haiphong (Fri/Sun) > Hong Kong (Tue/Wed) > Haiphong (Fri/Sun). Transit time between Haiphong and Hong Kong will be two days each way.
