The opening ceremony of International Exhibition - Maritime Vietnam 2009 has taken place at Saigon Exhibition & Convention Centre. This is a three-day exhibition showcasing shipbuilding, Ship repairing, Shipping, Maritime Engineering, Offshore Engineering & Technology, Ports & Logistics for Vietnam’s buoyant Maritime Industry.
This exhibition features with 300 companies and brands from about 20 contries and regions with strong representation from seven international pavilions from China, Germany, The Netherlands, Korea, Norway, Singapore and the United Kingdom.
As one of the event highlights of th exhibition, a high level maritime conference runs concurrently to address the critical and timely challenges, trnds, and development facing Vietnam’s maritime industry today.
Some of the key topics tackled I the confercen, including “Manageing Financial Risk in Shipping”, “Critical issues confronting Vietnam’s Port developments and planning”, “Global maritime industry and its impact on Vietnam”, “South Vietnam Sea Ports Development”, are presented by experts from Australia, the netherlands, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Sigapore and the United Kingdom.
Some of the many special activities are the site tours, Dutch Innovation Center and the Maritime Vietnam 2009 Industry Night.
