YICT launched a new rail service on March 1st, enabling export cargo from Changping in eastern Dongguan City, Guangdong to be transported to Yantian in just 100 minutes.
The service runs five times a day, seven days a week, with fixed services and train timetables that guarantee on-time arrival and door-to-door logistics services.
The service can carry 25 x 40-ft containers each run, substantially meeting increased demand from customers during peak shipping seasons.
In recent years, YICT has extended its rail services to an increasing number of inland destinations. Besides serving Changping, trains from YICT travel to Guangzhou and Shaoguan in Guangdong Province as well as cities in Jiangxi, Hunan and Yunnan provinces.
The Changping-Yantian Express service is a joint effort of China Railway Container Transport, China Railway International Multimodal Transport and YICT.
