Zhongshan/Shekou/Chiwan feeder launched

A common feeder service connecting Shenwan Port on the west side of the Pearl River Delta to the Shekou and Chiwan container terminals on the east side began last week.   Shenwan is in Zhongshan Province, on the less industrially developed western delta. Shekou and Chiwan are two of the terminals that make up the Port of Shenzhen.   Operated by Zhongshan Huahui International Forwarding Co. Ltd., the service provides three fixed-time sailings per week, heading for Shekou and Chiwan every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with the return sailing back to Shenwan port the following day.   The service uses barges with capacity of 36 and 60 TEUs.   American Shipper
