$3.6b earmarked for Van Phong sea port

Vietnam national shipping lines Corporation (Vinalines) has said that on October 31 it will break ground for the construction of Van Phong transshipment port in Khanh Hoa province.

 

This is national key project has total invested capital of over US$3.6 billion, including 42 wharfs, having ability to transship over 200 million tons of cargoes per year and can receive container ship of 17,000 TEUs.

 

The Ministry of Transport assigned Vinalines to invest in this Van Phong International transshipment project. Expected that project will be completed in 2013.
