CMA CGM said it will extend its Black Pearl Service between ports on the East Coast of North America and the Caribbean to two new ports in Northern South America as of July 16.
The weekly service, which now turns around after it calls at Kingston in Jamaica will start calling Cartagena in Colombia and Puerto Cabello in Venezuela.
The extended service will provide a 14-day trip from New York to Puerto Cabello and a trip of eight days between Halifax and Cartagena.
The French carrier is deploying a homogeneous fleet of four vessels with a capacity of 1,300 20-foot equivalent units apiece in the service.
The new rotation of the Black Pearl service is: New York, Halifax, Kingston, Cartagena, Puerto Cabello, Kingston and back to New York.
