Hapag-Lloyd announced general rate increases, effective. Oct. 1, for shipments between the U.S., Canada and Mexico and North Europe and the Mediterranean.
Increases for eastbound and westbound trans-Atlantic shipments to and from the U.S. and Canada are set to rise by $240 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot container, said the German ocean carrier.
Rates between Mexico and North Europe and the Mediterranean will increase by $200 per 20-foot container and $250 per 40-footer.
