Hanjin Shipping will launch the East Mediterranean & Black Sea (EBX) service with The New World Alliance (MOL, APL, HMM) and UASC in early-November.
The introduction of this new service will enable Hanjin Shipping to offer direct service between major hub ports in Asia and those in the East Mediterranean and Black Sea area, where the market is growing at remarkable speed.
The EBX service will deploy eight 2,500 - 2,700 TEU vessels (three from MOL, two from APL, and one each from Hanjin, UASC and HMM) on the weekly service operating on a 56-day rotation.
The EBX service port rotation is: Shanghai > Hong Kong > Yantian > Singapore > Damietta > Istanbul > Constanza > Illychevsk > Izmir > Damietta > Jeddah > Singapore > Shanghai.
Transit times to Istanbul will be 22 days from Shanghai, 19 days from Yantian and 15 days from Singapore, and another four days to Illychevsk.
