JetBlue announced it will discontinue operations at Nashville International Airport (BNA), effective Jan. 6, 2008. During its announcement of third quarter earnings, the company said they also will cease service to Columbus, Ohio.
JetBlue launched its service to Nashville on Aug. 31, 2006. “We’re saddened to see JetBlue leave our market since we value them as a strategic partner in BNA’s diverse landscape of air carriers. We wish them well,” said Raul Regalado, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority (MNAA).
American Airlines and Delta Air Lines serve New York with daily non-stop flights. Nashville International Airport is served by 15 carriers. More than 424 average daily arriving and departing flights operate from 47 air carrier gates. Nashville International provides nonstop and air service to 90 markets.
