PIRATES RELEASE ALMARJAN

SOMALI-based pirates have released a Dubai-owned, Comoros Island-flag 2,664-gt cargo ship the Almarjan hijacked more than month ago off Mogadishu. Few details are available about Sunday's release of the vessel. It is not clear whether a ransom was paid. The ship had been carrying general cargo from Mombasa to Mogadishu and it is thought that it is now returning to the Kenyan port. Maritime Global Net
