Malaysia Airlines’ customers can now enjoy 3 weekly flights from Kuala Lumpur to Cairo.
Flights will depart Kuala Lumpur every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 12:40am and arrive in Cairo at 6:45am (local time).
Flights from Cairo will leave for Kuala Lumpur every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 3:30am (local time) and arrive at 8:40pm.
“There have been lots of requests for us to offer direct flights to Cairo. It’s a magnet for tourists as well as businessmen, and we are delighted to code-share with EgyptAir to meet these requests,” said Malaysia Airlines Commercial Director, Dato Rashid Khan.
He said over the past 2 years, the airline has built an extensive hub-and-spoke network with 25 airline partners, allowing its customers to connect to most destinations worldwide.
"EgyptAir and Malaysia Airlines decided to connect the two countries through their code-share cooperation," said EgyptAir’s General Manager, International Affairs, Mr Salah Mansour.
Moving forward, Malaysia Airlines and EgyptAir’s customers can expect to connect to more destinations in Malaysia and Egypt through the two airlines.
