6/25/2008 9:54:09 AM

Orient Overseas Container Line will combine two existing Southeast Asia feeder services, Jakarta (JKT2) and Penang (PEN), to create a weekly Indonesia–Malaysia Service (IMS), starting July 3.

The Hong Kong-based carrier said IMS will use two 600-TEU vessels on a rotation of Singapore, Merak, Jakarta, Singapore, Port Kelang, Singapore, Penang and Singapore.

"The new service is in response to increased customer demand between Indonesia and Malaysia," OOCL said in a statement.
