The Far East Freight Conference has issued its final update on bunker and currency adjustment factors before the carrier conference ceases operations Oct. 17, when the European Union officially puts an end to liner antitrust exemption.
FEFC carriers are involved in trade between the Far East and Europe.
The conference said Friday that the bunker adjustment factor from Sept. 1 through Oct. 17 will be $766 per TEU and $38.30 per weight/measure for less-than-containerload shipments to and from the Mediterranean and West Coast European region. To and from the United Kingdom, the Northwest continent, Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea region, the BAF will be $13 higher per TEU and 65 cents higher per weight/measure for the low sulfur fuel surcharge.
Currency adjustment factor will be 17.9 percent for the same period.
