The Grand Alliance (GA) container shipping consortium has added a call at the Spanish Port of Valencia to its service between the Mediterranean and Asia, the EUM, to meet customer demand.
The port of call at Valencia commenced in the second week of August 2008, a statement issued by GA member OOCL said.
The new port rotation for the EUM service is: Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Klang, Jeddah, Damietta, Genoa, Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Damietta, Singapore, Hong Kong and Busan.
Eight vessels each with a capacity of around 6,000 TEU are being used to operate this service.
Grand Alliance members also include Hapag-Lloyd, MISC Berhad and NYK Line.
