UPS, the world's largest express carrier, has restored package delivery service to most geographic areas affected by hurricane Gustav, Associated Press reported.
The Atlanta-based company said none of its facilities or delivery vehicles suffered any substantial damage from the storm, which came ashore along the Gulf Coast on Monday.
Service disruptions were still occurring in a few areas, including New Orleans, the company said.
UPS said it was prepared to resume service immediately to and from New Orleans once the company was allowed to send employees back to the city.
